I love taking photographs of Abstract forms. They free me from the notion that I should make something recognizable.
Abstracts are where one finds them. They are everywhere.
Various - These are some of my favorite abstract or near abstract images.
Water and Ice - Natural elements offer a rich vein of images to be mined. Ice can crack, craze and curve endlessly to provide a wealth of
muted color or black and white compositions. Water reflects and distorts as well as collects into its own tensioned space. Most of the
images shown here are extracts from slightly larger portfolios.
Window Reflections - Traveling on airplanes can be a boring experience, especially at night when there is little to see out of the windows.
This series of images was taken not through, but at the windows using long exposures and intentional camera movements to make the reflection patterns dance.
